Welcome to Absolutely
the official website of TV presenter Brian Dowling!
Since winning Big Brother Series 2 in 2001 Brian has never looked back - going on to become an established TV/Radio presenter, voice over artist, corporate host and Panto star. Still universally loved, Brian was voted 'The Nation's Favourite Big Brother Housemate Ever 'by the public in 2005 2007.' In 2010 Brian received the supreme accolade of being voted the fans No1 housemate in C4's last series "Ultimate Big Brother".
Brian would like to thank everyone for their unconditional support over the years, saying he has 'the most amazing and loyal fans in the world'.
Brian featured heavily in tonight's show. It began with the hen party, Brian was once again Head Chef but on hearing there was a male stripper in the lounge entertaining the bride-to-be Brian hurried up from the bowels of the kitchen to take in the scene. It wasn't long before Brian, in his element, was receiving a lapdance from the stripping sailor. The bride commented that Brian had enjoyed him more than her, sadly one little old lady was far from happy with the behaviour from the raucous group.
Day 5 sees Brian take over the role of receptionist, where his first guests turn out to be a group of nudists, some of which came from Holland. There was hug hilarity in the hotel from all the staff as Brian proceeded to tell them about the usual group that had arrived. Much to Brian's credit he managed to keep a professional serious face when dealing with the guests, but away from view was a different matter. He received a call in reception asking for an iron and ironing board, Brian took the board to the room to be great by two naked men, and asked the obvious question - Why did the need an ironing board? Brian sent Jennifer to the room with iron, and as she left the room the pair of them dissolved into fits of suppressed laughter.
Later that evening the nudists had a Ceilidh, and Brian ended up doing an Irish jig stood next to a partially clothed man with a carton of cream in his hand. Brian said that must be one of the most surreal moments of his life. However it was back to reality with a bang when he had to deal with a blocked urinal.
Once again the presenters had us on tenterhooks as an extremely nervous Brian was the last name to be called to return to work. Pat, Jennifer and Claire were the bottom three. Pat got the wild card and was saved, as too was Jennifer for the second night running, with a tearful Claire leaving the show.
Lines are open again now to vote for Brian, and the next person to leave will be Wednesday night 7th Aug.
PLEASE HELP KEEP BRIAN ON THE SHOW!!
Anyone in Ireland who has missed the shows can watch them on the RTE website HERE
Day2: The first celebrity is fired from the hotel.
Brian spent day two in charge of the kitchen, managing to enjoy himself by having a little dance with Jenni whilst listening to Don on the guitar. You could visibly see how much Brian had picked up from his spell in Hell's Kitchen, although personally I don't think he realises that he had. A case in point being the pre-service bonding with the staff, something that Marco Pierre White always did before service in Hell's Kitchen, and one of Marco's mantras " What do tomatoes love? Tomatoes love sugar!"
Cracks were beginning to show with rows developing between the female celebrities. Jennifer Maguire(ex apprentice) plated up a steak meal with onions when a diner requested no onions, and when waitress Patricia McKenna ponted this out and Jennifer tried to just remove them from the plate, a row erupted which continued into the celebrity lounge later that evening.
Then came the first results of voting. After an anxious wait to hear that Brian was safe - the results being read out in the usual 'No particular order' - Jennifer, Don and Luke were the three celebrities with the lowest votes who had to face the judges. Don was saved first by the wild card, leaving Jennifer and Luke with a gutted Luke being shown the door.
The phone lines were then opened for voting once again, with the next celeb leaving during the show on Tuesday Aug 5th.
Please keep voting for Brian, so that he gets the chance to work front of house and not be constantly in the kitchen. Brian said he has taken in with him 17 pairs of socks and skimpy underpants, lets make sure he gets the chance to wear them all. VOTE BRIAN!!

Come back tomorrow to read about if Brian has survived his first day working in the Fáilte Towers kitchen without mishap, and to hear which celebrity has left the hotel.
Brian is taking part in Fáilte Towers the Irish reality TV series that will see 13 celebrities battling for their respective charities to run a real, fully-functioning hotel - Bellingham Castle in Louth .
Viewers along with a panel of expert judges - former presenter and hotelier Bibi Baskin, Sammy Leslie of the renowned Castle Leslie, and Michelin-starred chef Derry Clarke - will decide who stays, or who gets their marching orders in our dramatic nightly evictions. It promises to be a gruelling 16 days and nights at the inn; the celebs will have to serve two meals a day to the Fáilte Towers guests while at the same time manage the various functions that land unexpectedly on their doorstep. And the poor celebs won't even get a full night's sleep, thanks to Failte Towers fantastic 24 hour room service policy.
The celebrities will be given two days training by experts before the show airs on Aug 2nd and then will be left to their own devices to run the hotel on their own, without outside help.
Fáilte Towers has already proved a massive success even before it hits the airwaves. The public were invited to apply to stay at the hotel or book an event - be it a stag or hen, a champagne reception or a launch and the response has been overwhelming with upwards of 12,000 people applying.
The celebrities will be kept on their toes from the start, as on August 3rd Failte Towers play host to a bride-to-be and a gaggle of girlfriends for a dream hen party.
As someone who has spent a number of years in the service industry as a Cabin Crew Supervisor for Ryan Air and as a holiday rep, Brian has some valuable experience to draw on and I am sure will give 100% to the tasks awaiting him.
Brian has been a reality winner before in the UK, now let's make it a double and make Brian a winner in his home country, Ireland.
Brian is once again hosting the Belfast Pride Prince and Princess contest at The Kremlin nightclub Belfast. The winners of the contest will grace the Kremlin Float at the forthcoming ‘Pride Parade’.
