support over the years, saying he has 'the best fans in the world'.
Brian is hosting the Miss Ireland Pageant Final on June 20th 2008. He will be hosting this prestigious event alongside Myleene Klass, who he has had the pleasure of working with before when they presenting the Variety Club Showbiz Awards in 2005.
The launch for the 2008 Miss Ireland Pageant took place on April 24th at Lillies Bordello.

Launch of Miss Ireland Pageant ‘08
The 2008 Miss Ireland Pageant was launched in Lillies Bordello on Thursday, 24th April by organiser, Krishna Naidoo. Details were, announced of the judging panel and presenters for the final, which will take place in The Crowne Plaza, Santry on Friday June 20th.
Joining former Miss Dublin and Pageant Director Lelia Naidoo as members of the judging panel will be TV presenter Amanda Byram, former Eastenders star and Strictly Come Dancing contestant Matt di Angelo, Miss World 2006 Tatana Kucharova and top hair stylist Gary Kavanagh. Further judges will be confirmed in the coming weeks.

Co-hosted by Myleene Klass and Brian Dowling, the final promises to be a glamorous, star-studded event with entertainment from one of the biggest solo artists from the past two years – Shayne Ward.
The dancers that will perform in the show have appeared in London’s West End in shows such as “Chicago”, “Guys and Dolls” and “Dirty Dancing.”
With a prize package of over €100,000 up for grabs, including €10,000 cash, this year’s Miss Ireland promises to be a hotly contested event with each county being represented. The regional heat winners will compete for the prestigious Miss Ireland title and to be the first to wear the newly designed crown at the Miss World final. Heats are still taking place all over Ireland (log onto www.missirelandpageant.ie/ for details).
Contestants will compete in beachwear, daywear which is sponsored by Pamela Scott, and evening wear sections.
With the Miss Ireland pageant celebrating its 60th year, the Miss Ireland gala final promises to be one of the best yet.

Brian is attending the Walkers Sensation TVNow awards this Saturday night, April 12th, where he will be presenting an award.
The Walkers Sensation TVNow Awards, now in their third year, are Ireland's glittering Television Awards ceremony where they honour the best presenters and shows on Irish television. The star-studded, black-tie ceremony takes place in Dublin's Mansion House.
Brian is one of six celebrities taking part in the new series of Anonymous on RTÉ 2, a show where, by the help of prosthetics the celebrity is disguised and goes undercover to fool friends and the public. Taking part this series along with Brian are Westlife's Nicky Byrne, Glenda Gilson, Anna Nolan, and Craig Doyle.
During the show Brian is transformed into Private Aidan Cowley, and sent onto the streets of Dublin doing an army recruiting drive. He manages to dupe his sister Aoife, and two former BB contestants during the process of the show . Brian's episode goes out on March 31st at 9.30pm on RTÉ 2.
Brian and his 3 youngest sisters Paula (21), Aoife(18), and Tara (15) have a 6 page feature in this months VIP Magazine. Brian and his sisters are featured in a series of glossy photographs taken at the Trinity Capital Hotel, Dublin.
In his interview Brian chats about his new television career in Ireland, and says he has his sights set on hosting the Rose of Tralee, but also has his eye on some things in the UK too, that he is excited about.
Reaching 30 this year Brian talks about his plans for a big party, and how he feels about reaching this milestone.
With insights into the current state of his love life, thoughts from his mum, and some beautiful shots, the magazine is a real treat for all Brian fans.
Brian is presenting the award for "Best Restaurant" at the FATE awards in Belfast tonight the 22nd February. The event takes place at the Waterfront Hall and the nominees in this category are...
The event is being hosted by Ruby Wax, and other celebrity guests include Ronan Keating, Sophie Anderton, Snow Patrol's Gary Lightbody, Jimmy Nesbitt, Eddie Jordan, Fergie, Eddie Irvine, Paul Rankin and Caprice.
The awards are a celebration of the best in the Northern Irish Entertainments Industry, recognising and rewarding the best Bars, Restaurants, Clubs and Personalities for their efforts over the past year.
Brian presented the award for the Best Irish Folk/Traditional Artist to Damien Dempsey at Ireland's equivalent of the BRITS - The Meteor Music Awards, on Friday 15th February 2008 at the RDS Simmonscourt Dublin.
Among those attending the awards ceremony was Westlife, Boyzone, Sinead O’Connor. Stuart Townsend and Charlize Theron also attended the awards being in Dublin for the Dublin International Film Festival.
This is the second time that Brian has presented an award at the event. In 2003 presented the award for Best Irish Album: Skylarkin' - Mic Christopher.
